Annually, the co-leaders for each committee are chosen during the General Assembly. These co-leaders bridge the gap between the core team and the Board of Directors. Remember, any FFQ member can hop onto a committee at any point during the year.

General Assemblies

Twice a year, the Fédération des femmes du Québec (FFQ) holds General Assemblies (GAs) to foster open dialogue and ensure every member’s voice is heard.

Our Annual General Assembly, typically scheduled for late May, serves as a reflection point. We assess our annual progress, celebrate our achievements, and map out the future. It’s during this assembly that we elect the dynamic women for our Board of Directors — individuals who’ll be shaping FFQ’s strategic decisions. Your attendance and vote at this gathering are pivotal, ensuring that the FFQ remains diverse and representative of all voices.

Our winter GA is a platform dedicated to political positioning, a space where members converge to deliberate on contemporary challenges to women’s rights. Through these vibrant discussions, you have the chance to influence our stance on pivotal matters. As a member of FFQ, your insights help determine our organization’s direction and priorities. Your voice is not just heard; it’s vital in advancing the cause of gender equality.
