Feminism, living well, Ecology, and Economy Committee

Join the “Feminism, living well, Ecology, and Economy” committee and play an active role in addressing climate justice and the disparities and injustices birthed from our prevailing economic systems. Engage in discussions about degrowth, deepen your understanding of extractivism, organize ecofeminist events, and participate in climate protests. We approach all these subjects with an intersectional, anti-colonial lens, ensuring no woman is overlooked.

The concept of “living well” or “sumak kawsay” in Quechua stems from the indigenous communities of South America. It beckons us to reevaluate our bond with the Earth, redefine our understanding of ownership, and consider our position among all living entities, and the equilibrium necessary to sustain life now and for generations to come. This philosophy profoundly shapes our committee’s deliberations. At the helm of our committee are co-leaders Véronica Crespo and Élisabeth Germain. Reach out to them to join hands in forging a future that’s fair, ecologically conscious, and rooted in solidarity.
