Feminism, Body, Image, Gender, and Violence Committee

Joining the “Feminism, Body, Image, Gender, and Violence” committee means standing strong against every form of violence directed at women and girls. Our dedicated activists work tirelessly to shatter the patriarchal narratives that have long constrained women, robbing them of their freedom and autonomy.

Societal norms, stereotypes, and preconceived notions about women are steeped in oppressive ideologies, whether they stem from heterosexism, sexism, transphobia, colonialism, ableism, racism, or classism. In response, our committee champions values like agency, emancipation, leadership, self-determination, sexual freedom, identity choice, gender expression freedom, pleasure, and informed consent.

Geneviève Bessette currently leads our committee. If you’re driven to challenge gender-based violence and make a lasting impact, reach out to join our ranks. It’s an ideal platform for tangible change!
