Intersectional feminism illuminates the intricate layers of oppression women face, spotlighting how various dominant systems intersect and amplify one another. Pioneered by African-American feminists, this approach aims to spotlight and counteract the multiple discrimination facets experienced by certain societal groups. It takes into account oppressive structures like racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, colonialism, ableism, and beyond.
