Feminism, Democracy, Citizenship and Advocacy Committee

Join the “Feminism, Democracy, Citizenship, and Advocacy” committee and play an active role in shaping fairer, more egalitarian power structures. Our committee champions an equitable and anti-oppressive stance, striving to democratize information, education, and media by amplifying women’s voices and providing a platform for feminist insights.

Quebec’s prevailing democratic framework often muzzles critical voices and sidelines minority perspectives. It doesn’t truly mirror the diverse population, consequently stifling civic engagement. True democracy extends beyond merely voting—it embodies freedoms like the right to an opinion, expression, and upholding the rights of every individual. Furthermore, it seeks to foster direct, participative, and deliberative engagement.

Currently, Marlène Dubreuq and Félicité Ngadja lead our committee. They are NOT content with the status quo. They are driven by motion, by transformation! Ready to be part of this shift? Reach out and make your mark with us!
