Currently serving as the president of the Fédération des femmes du Québec (FFQ), Sylvie St-Amand is a seasoned community advocate with a rich history in feminist leadership. Her expertise in management, coupled with a passion for feminist administration, drives her dedication to bolstering Quebec’s collective feminist efforts.

Before taking the helm at the FFQ, Sylvie held various pivotal roles within the community sector. From 2012 to 2017, she collaborated directly with the FFQ, gaining a profound understanding of the unique challenges and issues intrinsic to feminist entities. Her journey continued from 2017 to 2022 at “L’R des centres de femmes”, where she deepened her devotion to advancing women’s rights.

Over the past two years, Sylvie has also served as the FFQ’s Treasurer. In this role, she leveraged her financial acumen to fortify the Federation’s fiscal foundations. With her organizational prowess, financial dexterity, and unwavering determination, Sylvie emerges as a president poised to steer the FFQ toward even greater achievements.

In her role as the FFQ’s president, Sylvie underscores the importance of collective endeavors and open dialogue. She envisions uniting feminist energies across diverse backgrounds, aiming for a comprehensive and authentic feminist societal metamorphosis.
